Education  :

• BE in Computer Science from BMS College of Engineering Class of 2011. The course was for 4years and its one awesome experience in my life till now!
• 1st year was a “meet the new people around you” kind of experience.
• Then came the 2nd year in which i became pretty much active in the department. Started learning C/C++ (i mean working out lab programs 😛 ). With my cropping up interest, developed a geometrical Model simulation in C using graphics library in 2nd year.
• Installed linux (kubuntu) for the first time ever on my PC along side Windows XP. Played with Grub (spoil it, fix, again spoil it and then OS doesnt boot, then read blogs to fix it), experimenting various software installations on linux which i could do it on windows. Still learning with and in Ubuntu.
• 3rd year was the most memorable year. Some friends became close from “hi-bye” sort. Organized 2 trips in the CS student community, coordinating with other students. Developed a CRO simulator using C/C++ and OpenGL as part of academic project.
• 4th year was full of “placements, projects, organize another trip”. As a team of 4 (Avinash, Manu, Sampath and myself), we developed Ganalipi and Ganaka, a computer interpreter language and its interpreter in Kannada as our academic project.
• Volunteered for events in “Avalanche 2010” and organized, coding and debugging competitionth  (both on spot and online) coordinating with Manu and Shantanu.
• Had an internship offer at Autonomy Corp, and job offers from headstrong and Cisco.
• Attended offcampus interview at NetApp , Bangalore and got placed.

Hobbies and Interests :

• Writing Poems in Kannada. You can find it all here.
• Updating this blog.
• Singing light music and listening to all genre of music.
• Reading Kannada novels.
• Photography.
• Interests in web applications and learning programming languages. Currently learning python/django.
• Open source technologies.

Work Experience :

• Software Development Intern, Autonomy Corp
  • Duration : 3 months
  • Projects/Work : Developed an LDAP client application. Worked on the Virage Mediabin product.
• Member of Technical Staff, NetApp
  • Duration : 2 years (August 2011 – August 2013)
  • Projects/Work :
    • Worked on development of an automation test framework from the scratch in perl.
    • Developed a Network health monitor tool in perl.
    • Designed and Developed a prototype for “web based status reporting tool of an employee in the team” in PHP, MySQL, JS and HTML.
    • Working with the New College Joinees to the team through NetApp Buddy program which helped learning both ways.
    • Also participated in QA efforts in reporting some important bugs in NetApp hardware/software products.
    • Organized/Coordinated 3 team outings and was considered the eye of fun events ;).
